I wanted to personalize the door to my paintin' cave, so I searched the interwebz for something orky, and came up with this sign.
In da beginninz, der was a sign!
Da Paintin' Cave has proppa signage!
Stay tuned as I finish this sucker.

2013 Hobby Resolution
I resolve to not resolve anything.
I'm going to AdeptiCon for the first time. I'm going to GenCon as well.
I will be like a feather on the wind, a bee floating from scale model flower to miniature model flower. My hobby randomness will know little restrictions, little boundaries.. I'm going to build and paint the kits that I wanna, army list be damned.
Look out world. I'm gonna get my hobby on.
~Jeff~

Finally" The Skaven Hellpit Abomination is finished!
I started this kit well over a year ago after assembling it for someone who had rec'd it as part of the black box offers GW used to send out. The suck about it then was it had no instructions, so I basically winged it and it ended up having a ton of openings and creases that needed filled with green-stuff. Later I purchased the model and then started the long journey of getting this ugly sucka finished. Check out the pics and let me know what you think!
Just noticed I need to touch up the base and paint it either black or brown. Ah well..

Work, work work! Jobz done!
I recently took on a commision of priming/basecoating a 140 figure Savage Ork army, and finished it this weekend after about 6 hours of total work.
Afterwards, I did some "touch-up" work on one of the river trolls, (with the client's knowlege of course).
I had lots of fun painting this troll. It was so much fun that now a box of trolls has hit my want-list. I have a birthday coming up in a couple weeks. Mayhaps the wifey will suprise me. *grin*

GenCon Indy 2011 and Engineer Jeff
This year the money just wasnt there to do two full runs of gaming conventions, so I picked Origins and went 3 days. GenCon travel materialized after some discussion with another buddy of mine who had never been to a Con before, so we drove to Indianapolis Saturday morning and paid the whopping $48 plus tax for 1 day registration and we were official GenCon geeks.
After a initial sweep of the vendor hall, (holy smokes that place was huge), we settled down to do some costume watching, and were not disappointed.
Wyrd Miniatures had some nicely painted minis up for display and sale.
I got to talk to this guy, Mike McVey, who was at the Cool Mini or Not booth, showing off his new gaming system and the associated miniatures.
Later on in the afternoon I played some Tanhauser with some friends, ate at TGIFridays, and then got in a game of Star Trek Expeditions. All in all, I had alot of fun for the duration of the time I got to hang out. My feet are still killing me, so next year I'll be wearing better fitting shoes!
