GenCon Indy 2011 and Engineer Jeff

This year the money just wasnt there to do two full runs of gaming conventions, so I picked Origins and went 3 days.  GenCon travel materialized after some discussion with another buddy of mine who had never been to a Con before, so we drove to Indianapolis Saturday morning and paid the whopping $48 plus tax for 1 day registration and we were official GenCon geeks.

After a initial sweep of the vendor hall, (holy smokes that place was huge), we settled down to do some costume watching, and were not disappointed.

Wyrd Miniatures had some nicely painted minis up for display and sale.

I got to talk to this guy, Mike McVey, who was at the Cool Mini or Not booth, showing off his new gaming system and the associated miniatures.

Later on in the afternoon I played some Tanhauser with some friends, ate at TGIFridays, and then got in a game of Star Trek Expeditions.  All in all, I had alot of fun for the duration of the time I got to hang out.  My feet are still killing me, so next year I'll be wearing better fitting shoes!
